Workshop
Synergy & Alignment
Improving collaboration and coordination towards impact

Working together 3.0

Genuine cooperation for the benefit of a common goal often fails in practice due to various causes. One of the reasons is the lack of Synergy & Alignment. We see Synergy & Alignment as the essential principle to efficiently implement a plan, and thereby achieve success and impact. We made this principle practical. You can apply it between two persons, teams (project, department), organisations and countries.
Afgestemd samenwerken workshop
For an organisation, Synergy & Alignment will initially take place between the various departments, and subsequently with customers and suppliers. When departments see that others work as hard as they do and that they pursue the same goal, the intrinsic motivation to support each other and exchange ideas to improve collaboration will also increase. This change in attitude offers the opportunity to take a closer look at current collaborations, uncover options for Synergy & Alignment and to optimise the strengths of all those involved. That, in turn, helps people to focus with passion and pleasure on higher departmental and organisational performances and creating impact.
In practice, however, some challenges arise in achieving this process. The first challenge is to overcome the fear that someone else will walk away with your idea, your potential job, your new one (....), and so on. Another is the competition between colleagues, which managers frequently used to fuel better performances. That has led to attitudes of work in which, for example, persons want to claim a victory for their project being the best, the fastest, etc. This sometimes-fixed way of thinking implies that the transformation process can take some time to see tangible results. But the seed has been planted.
We have seen in recent years that cooperation is the key to further development. Of course, it takes courage to show the weak part of yourself, project or department, but team members can support each other to overcome that. This changed attitude creates a winning team that makes a company and an impact that is more than just one person or department can do.

Goal

The main goal of this workshop is that participants increase their intrinsic motivation for Synergy & Alignment so that they can improve themselves and their collaboration with others. In practical terms, this means that the participants:
  • Gain insight into the importance of Synergy, Alignment, and obstacles to current collaborations.
  • Getting grips to increase intrinsic motivation for Synergy & Alignment.
  • Identify bottlenecks in Synergy & Alignment, and subsequently draw up an action plan to resolve them in the short term.

For whom?

The workshop is intended for the management team and employees of different departments who are curious about possibilities to work together better.

What you can expect

After lunch, we discuss the interactions with other teams and small groups identify elements of the action plan to increase Synergy & Alignment within the organisation and with others (when applicable).

Practical

This workshop takes one full day plus two times a half return day. The workshop will be held at a location to be agreed upon outside your organisation. The number of participants is a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 10 to give the necessary personal attention.
